This is just a little something I wrote on the fly yesterday in the library. It's based around a very controversial subject ( mostly because I use the words suicide and Messiah in the same sentence. DIG IT!
"Suicide Messiah"
Save yourself if you can, or are you just another man, bleeding by the hands of your mortality. Blood flows down, and in it you'll drown, or maybe in the tears of your dying soul. " Oh God, why have you forsaken me?," or are you not yourself God? Then deliver yourself from death.
But you didn't, The pain you endured, you endured for me. You didn't remove the knife I buried in your back. You wanted to die, and death was your desire, Begging to die to save, Suicide Messiah!
In your last dying breath, do you not have the power to cheat death, or do you want to die? When breath escapes, and the blood you taste, all add up to your demise. Oh, sacrifice, now void of life, brought about by your own will.
Laid to rest, pleased by the stench of your own carcass. The blood you shed covers my shame. Your willful death, becomes my sweet sacrifice. My Suicide Messiah!

Mmmmm.....I'm not too sure about the suicide part. Suicide is purposefully taking one's own life.....when Christ was more like a murder he allowed to happen. I'm not sure.
Not too sure about this song...the 'stench of your carcass' kind of grosses me out, man. Turns me off from the message, y'know?

keep in mind we are a metal band and use alot of metaphores and stuff. also christ died a violent death were just tring to paint an accurate picture of howw it whent down. we are a metal band and like to be a little controversial at times. To explain alittle the suicide part comes in when we talk about willfully. I would define suicide as being willfull to death. Think of it this way: If Christ and God are one in the same, and If it pleased God to see Christ crushed on the cross (which is theologically correct) than Christ, being God also wanted to die. I know its confusing and complicated, but when you think it through it makes sence.

Ahhhhh, I see. Very true. It all depends on one's definition of it.
