Keep in mind that thesse new lyrics are meant for a Christian Death Metal band. The lyrics, like most are not meant to be taken literally, but they describe the pocess of dying to the flesh. (Yes,they are vividly graphic and violent, but we are a death metal band)
Impalement of the Carnal Nature
Denial of the flesh,
learning that dying is a process.
Daily crusifixion,
the surgery of impalement,
a shiv to purge the body of it's flesh.
A plea foe life, answered "you must die,"
Ripping out origins of what was,
destroy the abomination, never to be reborn.
A bullet reserved for the skull of myself,
a spiritual suicide, to mutilate my own evil.
Intollerable carnal nature, gutted of it's impurity,
roy away the maggotsthat infested my soul.
Burning flesh, leaving only the bones to build upon,
peel away the dermal layers of this sinful nature.
